Terms of Service
Last updated: October 3, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Dan Fradenburgh, who runs Games for Brains (danfradenburgh.com/game) from Quebec, Canada. By logging in or subscribing, you agree to them. The privacy policy explains how your information is handled.
If you live in Quebec or elsewhere in Canada, consumer protection law gives you rights that these terms cannot take away. Nothing here limits those rights.
Your account
- You log in with Google, Microsoft, Facebook, Steam or LinkedIn. Logging in for the first time creates your account.
- An account is for one person. Don't share it or sell access to it.
- Keep your login account secure, and connect a second login method on your Profile page as a backup. If you lose access to every login method, account recovery depends on proving the account is yours.
- Players under 18 may only play through a parent's or guardian's account, with that parent's or guardian's permission. The parent or guardian is responsible for that use and for any subscription.
Free demos and subscriptions
Any logged-in account can play the demo parts of the games. A subscription unlocks everything for subscribers, including games and features marked "Subscribers only".
Price and billing
- The current offer is US$5 for your first 2 months, then US$5 per month. The price shown on the subscribe page when you sign up is the one that applies. All prices are in US dollars, and any applicable taxes are shown before you pay.
- Payments are made through PayPal, which charges automatically at the start of each billing period until you cancel.
- If the price changes, the new price is announced on the site at least 30 days ahead and does not apply to your subscription unless you agree to it. If you don't agree, you can cancel.
Cancelling
- You can cancel at any time in your PayPal account (Settings, then Payments, then Automatic payments). No further payments are taken after you cancel.
- Subscriber access ends when PayPal confirms the cancellation. Payments already made are not refunded, except where the law requires a refund.
- If a payment fails, subscriber access is paused until the payment goes through.
Fair play
You agree not to:
- cheat on leaderboards, including by submitting fake scores, using bots or scripts, or exploiting bugs;
- copy, download in bulk, or republish the games' levels, puzzles, questions or other subscriber content;
- try to get subscriber content without a subscription, or get around any limit on demo play;
- attack, overload or probe the site, or access other people's accounts;
- choose a display name that is offensive, impersonates someone, or advertises something.
If you find a bug or a way around the paywall, please report it instead of using it.
Scores that break these rules may be removed, display names may be reset, and players may be removed from leaderboards. Serious or repeated abuse can lead to the account being closed. If your account is closed without you having broken these terms, the unused part of your current subscription period is refunded.
Games and content
- The games, levels, puzzles, coaching, artwork and code on this site belong to Dan Fradenburgh, except for public-domain artworks and quotations, which belong to no one or to their original authors. Your subscription lets you play them on this site for personal, non-commercial use.
- Games are added, changed and sometimes removed over time, and the demo part of a game may change. A game marked "Testing" is unfinished.
- The trainers (such as Blackjack, Mahjong, Bridge and the card-game coaches) are for learning and fun. No real money is wagered on this site, and coaching is not a promise of results anywhere else.
- Quiz answers, quotations and facts are checked with care but may contain mistakes. Please report any you find.
Availability
The site is run by one person and is provided as it is. It may sometimes be unavailable for maintenance, updates or problems outside my control, and some games may not work on every device or browser. If the whole service is shut down permanently, subscriptions will be cancelled and the unused part of the current period refunded.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, I am not responsible for indirect losses, such as lost time or lost leaderboard standing, from using or being unable to use the site. This does not limit any liability that cannot legally be limited, including under Quebec's Consumer Protection Act.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time from your Profile page, after cancelling any active subscription. See the data deletion page for what is removed and what is kept.
Changes to these terms
Changes are posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date, and important changes are also announced on the games dashboard. Changes to price or to what a subscription includes follow the price rule above. If you keep playing after a change, the new terms apply; if you don't agree with them, you can cancel and delete your account.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. If you have a problem, please contact me first, since most things can be sorted out quickly. If that doesn't work, disputes go to the courts of Quebec, without affecting your right as a consumer to go to the courts where you live.
